Injectables

Skin Boosters

Skin boosters place fine hyaluronic acid micro-droplets throughout the skin rather than in one spot, hydrating from within instead of sitting on the surface. That is different from dermal fillers, which change shape rather than hydrate, and different from Profhilo, which uses a finer injection network over a shorter course. We compare all three thoroughly at your consultation, alongside Polynucleotides, so you are not left guessing which one suits your skin.

Your practitioner places a series of small injections across the treated area, which takes around 30 to 45 minutes. Mild swelling or bruising is possible for a day or two afterwards, but there is no real downtime, so most clients go straight back to their day.

Most clients have a course of 2 to 3 sessions, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. You will usually notice a hydration boost within days, with a fuller glow building over the following weeks as the hyaluronic acid settles in. We would suggest a maintenance session every 4 to 6 months to keep results topped up.

Skin boosters are not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection, or have a known hyaluronic acid allergy, and we will take a full history at your consultation before recommending which formulation suits you. Book a consultation and we will help you decide whether a skin booster, Profhilo or Polynucleotides is the right starting point.

Skin booster treatments take place in a private room at each of our clinics. We keep sessions unhurried, talking you through your consultation and what to expect before we begin, and there is no expectation to commit to a full course until you understand what is involved.

FAQs

Am I suitable for this treatment?
Skin boosters are not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection, or have a known hyaluronic acid allergy. This is not a complete list, so we will go through your medical history thoroughly at your consultation before recommending any treatment.
Can I return to work?
Yes. Most clients go straight back to work the same day. Mild swelling is possible, so some people prefer to book a few days ahead of an event just in case.
When can I go to the gym?
We recommend waiting 24 to 48 hours, and avoiding heavy sweating or heat on the treated area on the day itself.
How many sessions will I need?
Most clients need a course of 2 to 3 sessions, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. This can vary depending on your skin’s starting condition, which we will assess at consultation.
How long do results last?
Results typically last around 4 to 6 months, with your skin’s overall quality continuing to improve as you repeat courses over time.
How much does it cost?
Skin Boosters are priced at £250 per session, which runs for around an hour, with consultation from £10 (deducted from your first session if you go ahead). Prices can vary slightly by clinic, so check your nearest location for the current list.

Treatment Information

The Team

Our practitioners are trained in skin booster treatments at every clinic, and every session is covered by our clinic’s treatment insurance. We do not start a treatment until we are confident it is the right fit for you, which is why every course begins with a thorough consultation.

Consultation

Every skin booster treatment starts with a consultation, priced from £10, where we look at your skin, talk through your medical history and confirm which formulation suits what you want to achieve. If you go ahead with treatment on the day, the consultation fee is deducted from your first session.
